2NE1 is the Best
This is the best concert I've ever watched. 2NE1 sounds amazing live and CL has charisma for miles. In a way CL carries the whole concert, she's dancing, rapping, singing, and never sounds off or looks tired the entire time. Her presence just demands your full attention. I'm not a Blackjack but I was sooooo impressed by this concert. The only slight complaint is the packaging which looked a bit cheap in my opinion. I also bought the BigBang Alive Concert DVD and it had way nicer packaging. The 2NE1 girls deserve just as much love and attention as BigBang. They're certainly no less talented. If you only buy one 2012 concert DVD BUY THIS ONE.

Where to start? First, there are two versions of this hysterical farce but one of the versions is severely hampered by Fred Allen's voice overs through many of the best comedy segments. The other, and I'm guessing, "original" version involves no voice overs and this version is an unmitigated classic for which we can give a big thank you to producer Jack Skirball.

It's in the Bag is one of the screwiest comedies ever. It's the story of Fred F. Floogle(Fred Allen)an unsuccessful flea circus exhibitor and his madcap family; devoted and wholly unsatisfied wife Eve(Binnie Barnes), soon-to-be-bride daughter Marion(Gloria Pope) and genius son Homer(Richard Tyler)who is given many of the best lines though there are zillions of funny lines and millions of gags in this one-of-a-kind romp. One of Radio's better Movies
There have been numerous attempts at fashioning movie vehicles for radio stars:most of them failed to work,or work consistently well,but It's In The Bag is something of an exception.Starring Fred Allen-who had a great face for radio-and featuring cameos from Jack Benny,Robert Benchley,Don Ameche,Rudy Valee,and William Bendix,this is a simple,plot-driven movie packed full with in-jokes and tried-and-tested routines.Mel Brooks would return to the source material - a Russian short story - for the 1970 movie The Twelve Chairs,but the pretentiousness of that version is missing here.If you like Benny(who is on fine form) and Allen(who is at his most appealing,or least unappealing,depending on your perspective)then It's In The Bag is well worth a look.

It's in FRED's Bags!
It's a shame that only a chosen few REALLY KNOW who Fred Allen is. In the 1940's his popularity was that of names we still cite today - Jack Benny, Abbott & Costello, etc.

But in his day Fred's radio program was incredibly popular, as well as his "fued" with Jack Benny. If you love old radio, or old time comedy you will enjoy IT'S IN THE BAG. Fred Allen was, as still is, one of the smartest writers of comedy there was - even today great legends such as Mel Brooks and George Carlin cite his influence.

One drawback with the film is that to get all the jokes you will need to be familiar with "the age" when the film was released since some of Fred's jokes are dated (commentary about crowded theaters comes to mind), but some of the jokes are just as fresh today as they were 56 years ago (commentary on how relatives get in the picture, why do we need to watch credits, psychoanalists, etc.)

In some ways it's a very "da-da-ist" film -as in the vein of...

Jackie Chan: Crime Story / The Protector [Blu-ray]

On this DVD
A number of reviewers have commented that you can get the Chan version of the Protector with the other two movies. That would apply only to the Blue Ray. For the regular DVD shown above, you will only have the two movies with the Protector in the original U.S. release and then a dubbed version of Crime Story. Look elsewhere for the better Chan versions.

Jackie on Blu-ray is worth the price
It has been so difficult to find good copies of older Jackie Chan films that I welcome any blu-ray versions at all. That being said, this blu-ray is definitely better than any other version of these films, including the original Hong Kong DVDs, which I have--just don't expect miracles, because film preservation has never been a priority in Hong Kong, and the makers of the blu-ray, while they did adequate "clean-up," are not exactly the Criterion Collection (but then, it's not as pricey as CC releases, either). My only wish is that they had not squeezed what is essentially three films onto one disc, although blu-ray technology has enough "room" in its info code to do that. The disc contains "Crime Story" with a choice of soundtracks (including English dubbed for wimps) and subtitles, the original American release of "The Protector," and, in its bonus features, Jackie Chan's Hong Kong version of that film, which is the only thing that makes even having...

Caters to the more adult side of Jackie Chan
Hearing about how bad the image quality was on the Jackie Chan 4 Film Collection released a little over a year ago was enough to at least make even the most diehard Jackie Chan fans a little skeptical when it came to Shout! Factory's Jackie Chan double feature of "Crime Story" and "The Protector." Surely this would be a similar result since Echo Bridge Home Entertainment crammed four films onto one Blu-ray disc while Shout! Factory managed to pack three ("Crime Story," "The Protector," and the alternate cut/Hong Kong version/Jackie Chan's personal cut of "The Protector") onto one disc. Speaking as a massive Jackie Chan fan, receiving this product resulted in a plethora of emotions. Having never seen "Crime Story" or "The Protector," the opportunity to review this Blu-ray threw these two unseen films within an arm's reach and the excitement to see both suddenly skyrocketed. But the quality was bound to be terrible or they had to put the wrong versions of the films on here or something...

His Needs, Her Needs: Building an Affair-Proof Marriage

Wow, better than a dozen others!
I have watched, attended and reviewed many marriage improvement sessions. This one is excellent. It has easy to follow action items, including things to talk about - and things to do - to make a relationship closer. The theme is that nobody who is "in love" ever wants to leave their spouse or stays mad at them for long. This series actually teaches you how to fall back in love with your spouse. How many marriages could be saved if everyone who had problems tried this! It is truly remarkable.

My daughter and her husband missed their opportunity to use this dvd
My husband read the book after his first failed marriage. He loved it. He is a great husband because he takes the time to do the research. I bought this for my daughter and her husband. By the time she received it their relationship was too far gone to repair it. They tried reading the five love languages before receiving this dvd, but couldn't communicate well enough to make it worth their while. By the time they got the dvd, their opportunity to try to make things better had passed. I would suggest using this dvd during the good times of the marriage in order to avoid the pitfalls that marriages can fall into.

Great DVD
I had the book his needs her needs recommended to me by my friend who is a marriage counselor. After reading the book I decided to purchase the DVD so that my husband could get the information. I love this author and use the DVDs along with the workbook.

Trust [Blu-ray]

One of the five best films ever made!
Hal Hartley's simple, brilliant masterpiece. Martin Donovan should have won an oscar for his performance as Matthew Slaughter. All the characters are written to perfection, and they complement each other perfectly. The film is as sad as it is hilarious (there are some 50 lines of dialogue that are worth quoting here). Matthew Slaughter's character is made all the more real by the ending. As an "empiricist" who doesn't believe in love, he can only understand what it is (love) once things turn in the wrong direction for him. The love between him and Maria Coughlin (Adrienne Shelly) is not one of those stuffy Hollywood romances, but a simple trust and understanding between two individuals (admiration, respect, trust equal love!). Further complicating matters between them are their downright sinister parents; Matthew's father beats him, while Maria's mother blames her for the death of her father. Truly amazing, deserves better support from its Studio
This movie is considered the best Hal Hartley ever, even if some Hal Hartley aficionados may prefer Surviving Desire or Simple Men, But TRUST is the movie that grabs even non fans. As why it is not released in the US is hard to understand. I'm from the UK and Have to buy low quality region 1 DVDs as they are not released in the UK. this one is interesting as it is an Australian PAL import, so I get the better quality video. If you are a US Resident, do not worry, PAL video is better, each frame of film equals a frame of video, it runs at 25 frames per second and it has more pixels per frame, so you are watching a more film like experience. Regions on DVDs are just another bad idea from the Hollywood studios, but 90% of european DVD players are region free and if you look for your DVD model on the web, I am sure you will find a code to "region Free" it. as why the rights owner doesn't release all Hal Hartley movies in all countries, it is another story.

Black Humor, White Trash
If you like John Waters films (particularly "Female Trouble" and "Pink Flamingos") but were disappointed that they didn't quite clear the hurdle to being funny, then "Trust" is for you.

"Trust" is the follow-on to "The Unbelievable Truth," and features many of the same actors and themes. "The Unbelievable Truth," however, is a screwball romantic comedy, while "Trust" is flat-out black humor. If you're planning to watch both, watch "The Unbelievable Truth" first.

I spent the first half of "Trust" laughing, but wondering whether Hal Hartley intended it to be funny. By the end, it becomes clear that he did; this is one very funny film.

George O'Brien 3-Film Collection

George O'brien 3-Film Collection.
George O'brien had a fine career in movies. He gained fame in John Ford's silent epic, The Iron Horse. He also starred in one of the last great silent films, Sunrise, which was not a western. In the 30's he starred in some of the best low budget westerns made, for Fox and RKO. This set contains 3 good examples of his work. especially "The Marshall of Mesa City." The transfers are very good, and the films are enjoyable. His films were not just for "front row" kids but had qualities for adults. As usual, service from Amazon is the best.

Return of the Gunfighter

Taylor in great form in his last starring Western.
The Western standby of the veteran gunslinger who only wants to be left
alone but of course a gallery of bad guys see that he is not.
Yep,its all been done before but this one is so well made you sort of overlook
that. Robert Taylor in his last starring Western is in great form and the
DVD from Warner Archive is beautifully remastered in widescreen.
Lovely Old Tuscon locations help a lot too.
A well worn trail worth riding down.

Entertaining Taylor Western
Robert Taylor was nearing the end of his trail when he made Return of The Gunfighter, but it is a solid, decent western.

Taylor plays Ben Wyatt, a legendary gunfighter just out of prison after serving time for a killing that he did not commit. He is sent for by an old friend who is being harassed into giving up his land. By the time Wyatt makes it to his friend's house, his friend and his friend's wife are dead, and their daughter is in hiding. Taylor takes it upon himself to protect the daughter and avenge his friend's murder.

Lyle Bettger is his usually despicable self playing the villain, and Chad Everett provides fine support as Bettger's brother, who crossed paths with Wyatt without knowing that Wyatt is after his brother.

Return of the Gunfighter is not spectacular, but it is enjoyable on its own merits.

Good western.
Who cares if this was a made for TV western. Robert Taylor was getting on in years and playing an ageing gunfighter when he made this. He was perfect for the role as he still looked quite good physically. Taylor plays his part well and is a standout in a good cast. This is a good print with a good soundtrack. The scenery is typical of the westerns of the time. All in all a good western and well worth a look.

This Series Sounds Good Too Bad I missed it when it was on TV but thats why we have DVD's of it, and why do they never release Pokemon seasons in the UK but oh well still looking forward to it a lot.

Ash's Unova Adventure Continues
Like the previous set, Pokemon Black and White set 2 contains 12 episodes. The DVD set is collected in a nice neat case once again. Its the perfect item for Pokemon collectors, although the Unova episodes seem to target a younger audience. Many experienced Pokemon fans will probally hope for more than what is on this set. The episode plots may seem familiar because some of them were used in other Pokemon seasons.
However, this set does please many Pokemon fans. Unlike the previous set of episodes, this set contains 2 gym battles. The first disc has Ash facing Lenora who uses normal Pokemon; the second disc contains the battle with Burgh. While Ash is busy meeting new Pokemon and battling tough openents, Team Rocket is still involved in mysterious undercover missions. What can they be up to, and why have they targeted the strange meatorinite held inside the museum?
Overall, these episodes target a younger generation of Pokemon fan. Older Pokemon fans will be left wanting...

Average Movie....Terrible DVD
I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid and wanted to see it again now. I bought the DVD which says its an all region compatible disc. The conversion to DVD though is very bad as everything is so dark and the view looks like it's been copied ten times from a VHS tape. Other than that it's the same movie you may remember.

The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (Blu-ray/DVD Combo)

The reviews here can be confusing as they probably apply to other DVD versions of the film. This new on demand edition is in fact letterboxed and looks like the correct aspect ratio. Image quality may not be Criterion level but is very good, and given that this very enjoyable movie has been hard to get for years we are not complaining.

Blu-ray edition of Seven-Per-Cent Solution
Fantastic film, and even more fantastic transfer to Blu-ray. Never saw the film before, nor the SD DVD edition; bought it on a whim after seeing the actors in it. Extraordinarily good acting, high production values, far above average BD transfer.

NOW, if "they" would only release a comparably good BD of "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes" (1970, MGM/UA) - it would be perfection for Baker Street Irregulars!

Finally receiving a Blu-ray release courtesy of Shout! Factory, "The Seven Percent Solution" mixes the fictional with the historical for a fascinating glimpse into what made Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes click.

The Blu-ray transfer looks exceptional with a nice, color accurate presentation of the film. Colors aren't saturated as that wasn't the look that director Herbert Ross was going for with solid looking skin tones. Blacks are solid throughout as well not suffering from the crush evident in the early DVD release. The film boasts a fairly clean, sleek presentation that doesn't rely too heavily on digital noise reduction and, as a result, the textures are solid throughout as well.

The Blu-ray does include an interview with author and screenwriter Nicholas Meyer discussing the genesis of the novel and the film. It's a very good interview giving us his thoughts on the project. I would imagine that we don't get a commentary track because Meyer wasn't...

When in doubt......SQUISH!!
This is a classic! A must see, especially if you're fed up with all the glossed-over high-tech films out there today, who think they're so cool just because they have things like "computer animation" and "acting". For entertainment value, this movie is right up there with Pirrana and R.O.T.O.R! That's a compliment, by the way. It is a great B-movie packed with stars: Seth Green, that guy from Fresh Prince of Bell Air, and Clint Howard, brother of director Ron Howard, who delivers an Oscar-calibre performance with "Dude, you all messed up!" My favorite part was when the giant tick egg sack was attached to the girl's back and Seth Green ingeniously saves her by (after much suspense) hitting it with a stick.
Of course, the best scene in the movie is when one of the giant ticks is set loose in a vet's office and after they try valiantly but unsuccessfully to capture it with a fishtank net, the vet stomps on it, and the tick explodes into HIGHLY...

GET TICKED OFF
TICKS is a creepy crawly extravaganza with amazingly good creature effects for an obvious low budget movie. The plot's fairly simple: a marijuana farmer, played with devilish glee by Clint Howard, is using herbal steroids to increase his marijuana output. Some of the steroidal juice however manages to infest a tick larva and soon all the ticks are growing bigger and bigger, nastier and nastier. Enter a group of troubled teens, led by Rosalind Allen and Peter Scolari, who are off for a camping adventure right near the infested area. Soon the ticks are running around chomping on everyone.
For a run of the mill horror movie, this one is above average in its fright scale and in its effects. I expected something much worse and was pleasantly, if not creepily, surprised!!!!

everybody thinks im a whoose because this movie scared me!

Samurai Banners

Good War Epic
I liked this movie a lot. It may not have the depth of a Kurosawa samurai epic. But the film's director, Hiroshi Inagaki was no slouch. Anyone who's seen his other movies (Chushingura, Samurai Trilogy, just to name a few) knows he's very adept at handling sweeping dramas with large casts of characters.

The Japanese title of this movie is Furinkazan which refers to the Kanji characters on the banner flown by the Takeda clan. It describes the military strategy of the clan's leader, Shingen - swift as the wind (fu), quiet as a forest (rin), aggressive like fire (ka), and stable like a mountain (zan). I guess that's a little too much to put in an English title!

The battle scenes in this movie are pretty good. But I also liked the story of unrequitted love involving two of the main characters, Kansuke Yamamoto and Princess Yu. Toshiro Mifune plays Kansuke, an actual historical figure who was a military strategist for the Takeda clan. Yoshiko Sakuma gives a spirited performance as the...

More drama then war.
I am bit surprised to read the two previous reviews. The AnimEigo edition of Samurai Banners proves to be well presented and its subtitles with its different colors to see who's talking proves to be one of the highlights. This movie got excellent subtitles!! Maybe that reviewer who didn't get the subtitles should check his DVD player. He may have turned something off.

I enjoyed watching Samurai Banners despite of its 163 minutes or so length and the fact that its more of a samurai drama film with a war theme then anything else. Toshiro Mifune who have been considered as Japan's verison of John Wayne is well cast in this movie as it followed the destiny of the Takeda clan through many campaigns. For those who may care, Takeda clan also featured in the film, Kagamusha. Mifune's character, Yamamoto Kansuke (real historical figure), joined the clan, and it helped lead it to many victories, gaining the trust and confidence of his lord and along the way, fall in love with his...

A Superb Samurai Period Film
This superb period film does not make the mistake of concentrating on either of the two warring lords Takeda and/or Kagetora but instead focus' on Takeda's most celebrated general Kansuke Yamamoto (Toshiro Mifune), who was the brain behind the victories anyway. His story is much more interesting, both as one of a man driven by a wildly ambitious dream, and also one consumed with tragic love. On either level this film works wonders.

Set in Japan between 1543 and 1562 (the period of Warring States) SAMURAI BANNERS is an epic film! The costumes are impeccable, the film is engrossing and I didn't even realize it was almost three hours long. The battles are nicely done, but not overindulging. (For people who come for the violent samurai films, SAMURAI BANNERS will be sure to disappoint.) Toshiro Mifune is great, even with a shaved head!

New Frontier (1939) AKA Frontier Horizon
New Frontier was the original theatrical title for this film. Frontier Horizon was the title used for TV syndication to distinguish the 1939 film from Wayne's earlier, 1935, film of the same title. They are not the same story, but Republic occasionally reused titles for different scripts. This film has location work at the movie ranch, now a public park, once owned by Ray Corrigan. If you know the film, you can go to the park, which is in Simi Valley, and spot the locations. The big rock with the hole in it is there, but the hole is covered with brush. The film material is very good. For fans of the early Wayne films at Republic, grab them while they are available in new transfers.

Here the mesquiteers go again!
John Wayne, Ray Corrigan and Raymond Hatton are one of the best trigger trios ever namely the Three Mesquiteers. The print is good and sharp and there are lots of riding, fighting and shooting. Some seconds of the action and stunts are fill-ins from older movies and that's a bit irritating but one can live with it. It is always a pleasure to see great actors like Leroy Mason, Eddy Waller, Jack Ingram and many more. Billed under her real name Phyllis Isley, you are witness to the film debut of Jennifer Jones. And then it is a bit funny to think that this b-western is from the same year that Wayne starred in John Ford's Stagecoach.

Tunnel Vision

Tunnel vision was a good movie good plot but it didn't play in my blue ray player I had to play it on a standard DVD player other than that I was pleased with the movie

Great movie!
I'm from New Castle, PA where the movie was shot. I missed it when it was in the theater and have been looking for a copy of the DVD for awhile now.

The acting is pretty good. It can be a little slow at times, but I think it fits the movie. I wouldn't consider it an action movie, more of a dark drama. The setting for the movie couldn't have been better, not because I was born in New Castle, but because New Castle is a drab and dark place especially in the winter when this movie is set. I watched it twice the night I got it. It was fun picking out people I knew and what places were shown.

Cujo [Blu-ray]

Cujo finally gets his reward!!!!! 2013 Blu Ray UPDATE
I have waited a looooooong time to see this film get the special treatment it deserved. For years, the only way I had to view this classic horror treat was on an old DVD release with cropped edges, horrible picture, and NO special features at all.....not to mention the ugliest DVD artwork ever for a Stephen King release.

Lionsgate has now given us Cujo as it has never been seen on home video. I was blown away by how clear the picture is, and how vibrant the colors are. The old transfer just seemed washed out and faded. I watched this on my PS3, which upscales it to hi-def, and I never dreamed this film could ever look this good. I'm also glad that there was no effort to try to create a surround sound track for this film, since most of it takes place inside a car. You have the choice of watching it in the original mono, or a 2 channel stereo mix. While this is not a film I would choose to show off my surround system, it is very effective for what is happening on...

What is up with this cover art?
Actually a fairly good Stephen King translation, I remember being genuinely frightened a few times when this played theatrically. But my fondest memory of the movie was its poster: a beautiful sun-bleached drawing of a very east-coast summer house, surrounded by a picket fence splattered with blood in the form of Cujo's name. Warner home video used this artwork when intially releasing the video over a decade ago, and now? This picture of a clownish lip-sticked overly-reddened St. Bernard and his teeth is clearly not even a shot from the movie! I have always questioned/doubted the wisdom of revisionist cover-art for video releases, but this one takes the cake as the most artless piece of junk I've ever seen.

A Claustraphobe's Nightmare!
If I had read the book first I would have probably known what I was in for when I sat down to watch this movie. I have a deeply rooted fear of confined spaces and possibly an even bigger fear of being eaten. So basically, this movie scared me to no end! Now I have to admit much of the story (and acting) moved along fairly slowly, until the mother and son were stuck in the middle of nowhere, in a station wagon, with a large, rabid Saint Bernard attempting to get inside! It was this portion of the movie that got my skin crawling! When Cujo starts attacking the car and you just get this feeling that nobody is getting out of there alive, that's good Horror entertainment! Strangely enough I never felt that Cujo should die or that he was a "monster". End of Watch

Good Cop, Good Cop
Directed by David Ayer, "End of Watch" is a police drama that celebrates the value of friendship and the all too frequently unsung efforts of police officers to try to keep the rest of us free from the violence and evil the officers constantly endure. The movie is set on a rough police beat in South Central Los Angeles and follows the activities of two young officers, Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhall) and Mike Zavala (Michael Pena) as they cruise the streets and fight crime. Some scenes of the movie take place in the police academy or the stationhouse and show the cameraderie among the men and the women in uniform.

The movie is a mix of introspection and action. Brian and Mike depend upon each other for their lives, and they are fast friends. As they drive the streets they discuss their families, their respective ethnicities and backgrounds, their dreams and their women. Mike has been married to his high school sweetheart for eight years, while Brian has found a new romantic...

Great Movie!!! Very Real!!!
First of all, let me say that I am not a professional movie critic. So, I am just going to evaluate the movie based on my personal experience and enjoyability of the film. This film was phenomenal. It was very well directed. The plot was very credible and for those working on law enforcement, it will seem too accurate. The actors nailed it. It was also filmed like "Cloverfield", to make you believe that you are part of the action as a first person viewer. That was my only complaint. Since, this type of filming seems to give me headaches. Overall, I would give this film 5 stars based on the following: enjoyability, credibility, acting, costumes/clothing, special effects and plot delivery/transition and conclusion. This is not your typical "happy ending" cop movie. So, if you want a happy ending fake cop movie, do not bother watching this one. Great movie, overall. Very well portrayed.

A you-are-there, gut wrenching cop drama
If you ever wanted to know what it was like to be a beat cop in L. A. without the danger, this David Ayer film may be as close as you'll get. Shot in the overused "found footage" style, we get a tension filled action drama with excellent character development and sense of realism. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena give memorable performances as partners who are also best friends and confidants, each inviting the other into their extended families.

Officers Taylor (Gyllenhaal) and Zavala (Pena) are hot shot cops who want to do more than make traffic arrests while patrolling a mixed gang section of L. A. Sometimes heroic (rescuing children from a burning house or from an abusive home) and sometimes foolish (not waiting for backup) they manage to stumble upon an arm of a Mexican cartel involved in human trafficking. Abel's Field

A different Christian film.
When I asked my gang what they thought of this new film starring Kevin Sorbo and Samuel Davis, they unanimously said, "It was different from other Christian films." And they mean that's a good thing. Abel's Field was well written, well acted and entertaining to boot.

Among many good messages in this story, I was particularly touched by Seth's dedication to his younger sisters. My kids also pointed this out as one of the things that made Abel's Field stand out. So often, even in Christian media, brothers and sisters are portrayed as annoyances to each other. It was a nice change to see an example of what siblings should be to each other.

Allen liked that Abel, the Christian lead in the film, was not a perfect saint. He was portrayed in a very real way that all of us can relate to. These films are getting better...
I purchased this DVD simply out of a sense of obligation. If the Body of Christ fails to support faith-based films, every time we go to the megaplex it will be nothing but Naked Girls Part 2 and Blowing Things Up Part 3.

Using my incredible powers of deductive reasoning which are never wrong, I examined the cover and classified this movie as a rehashing of one of those Yoda and Luke Skywalker films. The angry kid learns important life lessons from a wise groundskeeper or trash collector or whatever.

Boy, was I wrong.

This time, Luke's anger management issues pale in comparison to the baggage Yoda is carrying. The story is complimented almost perfectly by the location. The small Texas town setting gives the film a "Friday Night Lights" kind of feel.

I won't name names, but I have sat through some truly awful faith-based movies. But "Abel's Field" is one of the best I have seen.

DVD Review Abel's Field

Left motherless by tragedy and abandoned by his father, high school senior Seth McArdle (Samuel Davis) faces enormous pressure as he strives to support his younger twin sisters. At school, he endures the daily bullying from members of the football team. At work, he struggles to earn enough money to make ends meet. At home, he has no one to turn to.
When Seth fights back, he's singled out for punishment and assigned to an after-school work detail under the supervision of the reserved groundskeeper, Abel (Soul Surfer's Kevin Sorbo). Seth is surprised to discover that Abel understands his struggles ... and his dreams. Abel encourages Seth to ask out popular Katie and even steps in to babysit so Seth can go out on the date. Yet as dark circumstances lure Seth toward a desperate decision, a reluctant Abel could be the one person who points him back toward the light.

Light-hearted "sisters" comedy
"For a Good Time, Call..." (2012 release; 85 min.) brings the story of two girls down on their luck. Katie (played by Ari Graynor) lives in a fabulous apartment in New York which she no longer can afford. Lauren (played by Lauren Miller) has just been told by her boyfriend that he wants to "evaluate" their relationship and she needs to move out. A mutual friend, Jesse (played by Justin Long), brings the girls together and even though they have an unpleasant history together from their college days, they really have no choice but to try to make things work. And how they do! Lauren finds out that Katie, in order to make some extra money, works on the side as a phone sex operator. Lauren figures out that if they do this on their own, they'll make much more money.

While a heavy emphasis is made in the promotional materials for the movie (both on the poster and in the trailer) about the sex phone operation, the movie is in fact much more about how two girls who used to hate each...

Super Funny Flick
I knew from the commercials that this film would be a little on the funny and goofy side of things, even cartoonish, but this movie has a lot of heart in it and in the end is a story about more than just a friendship; it's about a sisterhood. Loved everything about it!
