Two Thumbs Up for The Friendship Show!
The Friendship Show is one the best shows I have seen in a long while for young children. Not only is it educational, but it is fun and entertaining! The show uses engaging animated skits, easy-to-make art projects and original, catchy songs to teach young children ages 2 to 7 all about creating healthy and lasting friendships. At 41 minutes long, it is just the right length to keep a young child's attention.
The lessons are taught using adorable animated characters who are involved in entertaining skits that focus on real-life situations. Ruby, the hostess, then expands on those lessons with meaningful conversation, fun-to-sing songs and an art project that can easily be recreated at home. Throughout the entire video children are encouraged to think about what friendship means to them while learning important lessons that will be carried with them throughout their life.
Everything about this video is cheerful and colorful and grabs a child's attention right...
My granddaughter said I could buy her more of these videos.
I bought this video and the Feelings video for my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter. After a day out, I popped the video in over her objections. She wanted to watch the Chihuahua video for the umpteenth time. We watched Friendship first. She was mesmerized. It is entertaining and informative. I would recommend it for children from 3 to about 6 or 7 years old. After this video finished, she asked to watch the next one. Feelings was a little heavier and more for a child older than 3 but and that was over my granddaughter said it would be good if I bought her more of these videos.
A Magical Place
My kids were immediately enthralled by Ruby's Studio The Friendship Show DVD and so was I! I don't know what it is about Ruby's Studio but there's something magical about it that pulls you right in! I don't typically enjoy children's shows or watch them in their entirety but as soon as Ruby started talking about the golden rule, I was hooked! I have been trying to work on this with my kids on this very thing so the timing was perfect. It always helps them to hear it from someone else and to know it's not just mean mommy telling them a rule they don't want to follow!
Ruby talks about friendship and why friends are important in our lives and what they mean to us. There is some music or "little diddy's" as I like to call them, where she breaks into song just like enough to capture your attention but not long enough to lose it. There are also little breakaways to cartoonish characters that hold the attention of toddlers and helps them relate.
I love her...
